BECKINGTON Pre School will be holding its annual Easter egg hunt at the Memorial Hall next month.
The annual Easter egg hunt is run to raise money for the school and has got bigger and better every year. In 2016 the event, which had a Disney’s Frozen theme, raised nearly £2,000.
The theme for this year’s hunt, which takes place on Sunday April 2nd at Beckington Memorial Hall, is dinosaurs, and David Wilson Homes – which is building new homes in the village – has provided the eggs to ensure everyone has a ‘roarsome’ time.
Jemma Hillman, from Beckington Pre-School said, “We’re very grateful to David Wilson Homes for its support. Events like this rely on the generosity of local businesses and it means that even more of the money raised on the day can go straight to the pre-school.”
Chris Hickey took time out from working on David Wilson Homes’ De Cheney Gardens development nearby to visit the pre-school and hear how preparations are going for the big day.
He said, “The pre- school’s team of volunteers does such a good job in organising the Easter egg hunt every year and we’re looking forward to be involved for the first time. Events like this really bring people together in the village and it’s that real sense of community that we love about Beckington.”
The Easter egg hunt starts at 11am at Beckington Memorial Hall on Sunday 2nd April. Entry costs £3 per child.
