THE next Frome Pandas Support Group will take place on Monday 6th June at The Bridge Children’s Centre in Frome.
PANDAS (pre and postnatal depression advice and support) is a national charity which provides peer-to-peer support for parents who are suffering with conditions such as pre and postnatal depression, anxiety, OCD, post partum psychosis etc.
Tillie Mabbutt who runs the Frome branch said, “We provide this support online through our Facebook page, which also has a private chat page alongside where people can ask for support and advice from fellow sufferers.
“The lunchtime session at The Bridge Children’s Centre in Frome runs from 12.30-2.00pm and parents can bring along a packed lunch for themselves and their children and be in the company of other parents who have similar struggles. This allows for a non-judgmental atmosphere where everyone is free to talk openly about their thoughts and feelings, as well as providing a welcome distraction for the children in the way of eating with other children, toys and activities.
“The meetings at the children’s centre are the first Monday of every month, even running in school holidays (except Bank Holidays). We also run a Tuesday morning group two weeks later, from 9.30-11am. More details of the group can be found on our Facebook page, facebook.com /FromePandasSupportGroup or by emailing tillie.mabbutt1@itv.com
