OWNER of The Old Bath Arms, Richard Findlay, will step into the boxing ring for the first time for charity on Friday 6th April, as part of Frome Fight Night.
Richard will be taking on opponent Kristian Carpenter in order to raise money for children’s charities. In 2017, Richard accepted the opportunity to jump into the ring to take part in his first-ever boxing match after being trained by professional boxer, Ryan Wheeler.
Half of the funds raised will go to the Children with Cancer UK charity and the other half will go back into the Frome Boxing Academy, where Richard has been training, to help incentivise new junior members to join and get fit.
Frome Fight Night will take place at The Cheese and Grain on Friday 6th April. Doors open at 6pm with the first fight at 7pm.
Tickets are £25 for standing and £35 for seating. For more information about the other fights happening on the night search Frome Fight Night on Facebook.
