A ukulele group in Frome has raised funds for two charities at a recent end-of-summer event.
The Frukes raised £625.26 for cancer counselling charity We Hear You (WHY) and Frome’s oldest charity, the Blue House.
The money was raised at an evening of live music and dancing at The Silk Mill.
Frukes chair Susan Marshall said, “We are delighted to be helping two local charities and were so chuffed that both The Blue House and WHY came along on the night to help ensure the evening was such a success.
“Having both groups there meant more people of Frome were able to hear about the fantastic work they both do and ensured we could focus on playing music as they helped run the event.”
The Frukes are now preparing for their Christmas gig, which will be held at the Bell at Standerwick on Monday 21st December, where they hope to raise more money for charity.
