This spring, class 4 (year 5) at the Steiner Academy Frome have been studying Frome for a local history and geography project.
One morning, the teacher of the class, Ann Gulbis, heard Chris Evans on his breakfast show saying that he knew nothing about Frome. “Where is Frome?” he said, “Is it a town or a village? Who out there knows anything about Frome?”
Ann explains how the children accepted the challenge. She said, “So, that very day we sent him letters and pictures of all the things that we like, or have discovered about the town where our school is. He wrote back to us saying he was ‘delighted to receive the cards’ and sent us this picture of him with our letters.”
