The University of Bristol Special Collections is asking Frome residents to post any by-election leaflets they receive from the eight candidates to aid their studies.
The University of Bristol Special Collections holds the largest national collection of election leaflets and campaign literature from all British parliamentary elections. They include all political parties, independent candidates, and other groups distributing electoral information, along with local and national newspaper coverage.
Ian Coates from the university explained, “This material is available for consultation by students, researchers, journalists and members of the public.
“Please help us add to our collection by keeping all the electoral material you receive and sending it all to us after the by-election with a note of your postcode. We obscure any personal names and addresses that may appear on this material before it is added to the archive.”
