Frome Town Robins’ under 13 football team completed a triathlon on Saturday 21st April to raise money to attend a football tournament hosted by twin town Murrhardt, in southern Germany at the end of May.
The boys completed a 400m swim, 10km bike ride and finished with a 4km run. The event hosted by Frome Sport & Leisure, raised £1,350 towards the £6,000 cost of the trip which will see 21 players travel to Murrhardt for four days at the end of May.
Leaders say, “The tour will be a wonderful opportunity for the boys to visit the twin town, make new friends, learn about another country – and of course, play some European football.”
