A collection of fine furniture, artworks and vintage treasures will be auctioned in Frome this month at a special auction.
The sale, by local auction house Dore & Rees, will feature pieces from designer and rock and roll muse Pearl Lowe’s Somerset home.
“This unique auction will showcase around 130 pieces from Pearl’s eclectic world, bringing together her signature bohemian glamour, romantic vintage finds and mystical, rock-and-roll chic,” said Lee Young from Dore & Rees and a well-known face on the BBC Antiques Roadshow.

“The full auction catalogue goes live online from 9th January, offering buyers the opportunity to browse and bid on more than two decades of decorative pieces from Pearl’s Somerset home and studio. The collection includes antique furniture, quirky objects, textiles, mirrors, portraits, lighting and one-of-a-kind curiosities, all hand-picked and cherished by Pearl.
A Public Viewing will open at Dore & Rees in Vicarage Street from 20th to 22nd January, filling the saleroom with Pearl’s signature of romantic and nostalgic style with the sale itself on Friday 23rd January.
“Every piece carries a story,” says Pearl. “These objects have been loved, lived with and used in my homes. It feels like the perfect time for them to have a new life with someone who will treasure them as much as I have.”
Lee Young added, “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with one of Frome’s most celebrated residents.
“Working with a designer like Pearl, with her own curatorial vision and distinct style, makes selling the collection very much an expression of her own identity. We are simply enabling Pearl to bring her collection to market in her own way, and in her own style.

“Our job is to make sure everyone bidding finds it easy and enjoyable, from wherever they are in the world, whether they’re new to auction or a seasoned pro.
“This sale presents a really unique opportunity for buyers who love Pearl’s aesthetic to acquire unique items from her Somerset home and we anticipate a huge amount of interest. On sale day expect some fierce bidding and a good dose of glamour.
“With Pearl’s cult following spanning fashion, interiors and music, the auction is already generating exciting interest. A large crowd is expected, with collectors, stylists and admirers eager to own a small piece of her world. The sale promises to be a celebration of vintage English eccentricity, rock-star glamour and timeless romance.”
London-born designer and musician Pearl Lowe rose to fame in the 1990s as lead singer of the bands Powder and Lodger before turning her creative talents to fashion and interiors. On screen, she has featured as an expert on Channel 4’s Four Rooms and BBC Two’s Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, and as a guest judge on Britain’s Next Top Model.
Pearl’s highly-acclaimed memoir, All That Glitters, was published in 2007, charting her experiences with fame, drug addiction and recovery and she has also published five books on interiors, including Faded Glamour in the City released in 2025.
