The Rotary Club of Frome celebrated its 24th annual occasion and raised £2,491 for CLIC Sargent, the leading cancer charity for young people.
The evening took place at Standerwick Market and welcomed around 100 guests who sang along to some festive carols, listened to some inspiring readings and finished the evening bidding for a variety of auction lots.
The event was also supported by Inner Wheel, Jan and David Ball and Bridget and Steve Pearce. The two families have previously been supported by CLIC Sargent.
Fundraising Manager at CLIC Sargent, Mairi Wilson said, “This was a wonderful and festive evening. The auction was great fun and Dennis is an absolutely brilliant auctioneer!
“I would like to thank everyone who attended and all those who organized the event and helped make it such a success. The money raised will help us support young people with cancer this Christmas.”
The annual event has been held in Standerwick for 24 years and organised by generous members of the community coupled with the Rotary Club of Frome who help make this evening such a great success.
