FROME Rotary Club was recently visited by Liberal Democrat David Heath, ex-leader of the House of Commons and Somerton and Frome’s MP for 18 years until the 2015 election when he stepped down from office.
Rotary publicity officer Margaret Gilmour said, “David Heath was the guest speaker at a Frome Rotary meeting on Monday 29th June. He spoke about his long political career and gave some interesting insights into the workings of both local and national government.
“Frome Rotary members were entertained by some of the more personal moments outlined by Mr Heath!”
