THE three Frome Rotary Clubs, operating as ‘Rotary in Frome’, are preparing to open a pop-up charity shop in the old M&Co premises in Westway.
Having planned to open the shop in January, they were thwarted by the latest lockdown but say they hope that restrictions will be lifted to allow the store to open on Wednesday 14th April. The store, which will be open from Wednesday to Saturday, will be manned and managed by Rotary Club volunteers.
It will serve the local needs with a mix of housewares, furniture, books, bric a brac and many other useful items. The positive impact of local shopping and the re-cycle, re-new and re-use of goods is a key element of reducing the environmental impact we have as a community.
Rotary in Frome say they are “committed to the majority of profits from the store going to support local charities and deserving causes in and around Frome.”
In addition, a recruitment hub will be set up to provide information on the activities carried out by the Rotary Clubs and the opportunities to join with like minded people whose motto is “Service Above Self”.
