CHILDREN from St John’s First School took part in a tree planting event last month, with Frome Town Council and local tree expert Julian Hight.
The school reports, “Eight children went up to the Mary Baily playing field in Frome to plant an Oak sapling from a 100-year-old heritage tree. The sapling is currently four years old which is the same age as some of the children who planted it. We are going to go back in June to revisit the sapling to see how it is growing. We were very excited to take part in the tree planting project.”
