To celebrate its 60th year, Selwood Academy is holding ‘Memory Share’ coffee mornings for ex-staff and pupils.
The academy says, “We were delighted to hear so many memories of happy times at the school! Pictured is Jean Hopegood, headteacher, with ex-pupils and staff including Maureen Rendall, Susan Harrison, Rob Harrison and Keith Higgins, who were among the very first pupils when the school opened in 1958.
“Further coffee mornings will be held on Monday 7th January, Monday 25th February and Tuesday 7th May at 10.45am in the school library.
“We hope to produce a book containing stories and memories of Selwood, so please email the school on selwoodacademy@educ.somerset. gov.uk or come along to the coffee mornings to share stories over tea and cake.”
