Can you write a story in 1000 words or less? Frome Writers’ Collective is opening its new winter short story competition to anyone over the age of 16 who lives in Frome or its neighbouring villages.
The group says, “There is no entry fee, and only modest prizes, but plenty of kudos for the winner, whose entry will be published on the Frome Times and FWC websites. Tina Gaisford-Waller, manager of Winstone’s Hunting Raven bookshop, has kindly agreed to select the winning story.
“The theme is “Changes”, interpreted as you will, and stories should be emailed as Word/PDF attachments to fromewriterscollective@gmail.com by December 31st 2020. Why not use lockdown, or any time you can grab between Christmas and New Year, to try something new?
“Entries will be judged anonymously, so please do not put your name on your story attachment, but include your name, contact details, story title and word count in the body of your email.”
