EASTENDERS star Derek Martin who plays Charlie Slater in the soap was in Frome last week to officially open a new store.
The actor who has also starred in Doctor Who, cut the ribbon on a new Proper Job store at Wessex Fields Retail Park last week.
Proper Job is a family business which specialises in affordable DIY tools, house wares, auto goods, stationery, gardening equipment and more. The new store is part of a chain across the south-west and has grown massively since it launched as Tilley’s Tools in the 1980s. Proper Job now have stores in Weston-super-Mare, Glastonbury, Street, Clevedon, Burnham-on-Sea, Bridgwater, Bristol and now Frome.

Frome’s own Town Crier also provided some good old fashioned shouting and ringing of bells. Open seven days a week with ample parking and easily accessible by all residents of Frome, Proper Job look forward to seeing more and more people come through the doors and walk out with a bargain.”
