SOMERSET Sight, the local independent charity supporting people with sight loss in Somerset, met to thank some of its Frome volunteer visitors for all their support of blind and partially sighted people in the area.
The charity works in partnership with many other local and national organisations including Guide Dogs for the Blind. Representatives met local volunteer visitors at Frome Asda on 10th October.
Guest speaker was Linda Hole, a puppy walker from Guide Dogs for the Blind, who attended with her puppy, Betty. Linda talked inspirationally to volunteer visitors about her 37 years as a guide dog puppy walker and Betty behaved well most of the time!
Claire Packwood of Somerset Sight thanked volunteer visitors for all the work they do, saying that Somerset Sight is dependent on its hundreds of volunteers who work throughout the county in a variety of rewarding roles.
