FROME Musical Theatre Company’s youth group has been praised for its wonderful production of ‘Cats’ and is now looking ahead to panto time.
The cast of 57 enthusiastic youngsters between school years three to 11 wowed their audiences with fabulous musical numbers including Jellicle Ball, Memory, Macavity, Mr Mistoffelees, Skimbleshanks and Rum Tum Tugger.
On the final performance it is tradition for the cast to receive a presentation of awards for qualities such as team work, improved performance and stage presence. This year’s main award, the Charles Hart Trophy was awarded to Jess Golay for her fabulously feline performance as Bombalurina. The Ian Waller Extra Mile Award went to Pauline Harris for her dedication and hours given to help create the marvellous costumes and the Roni Wakeling Smilie Award went to Izzy King for her captivating performance as Victoria.
