FROME Musical Theatre Company’s award winning youth group Spellbound will next month be performing the hit musical comedy Bugsy Malone.
The new dates for the show at the Frome Memorial Theatre – which was originally planned for August, but postponed because of Covid-19 – are Tuesday 26th October at 7pm; and Wednesday 27th October at 2pm and 7pm.
About the show, Spellbound say, “Set in 1920’s New York and narrated by the candy-coated Bugsy Malone, the production follows the story of a battle for power between the rival mobster gangs of Fat Sam and Dandy Dan.
“As Dandy Dan’s hoodlums terrorise the neighbourhood with their splurge guns, Fat Sam calls on his good friend Bugsy Malone to help save his empire and his reputation!
“With show-stopping hits including ‘Fat Sam’s Grand Slam’, ‘Bad Guys’ and ‘So You Wanna Be a Boxer’, Bugsy Malone is the perfect treat for everyone.
“It will be a spectacle for the whole family to enjoy, full of hilarious characters, amazing musical numbers….and a lot of splurge!”
