FREE health walks are being run in Frome to help local people stay fit and healthy at no cost.
On Mondays (excluding Bank Holidays) a short easy walk sets off from the Cheese & Grain at 10.30am and walks 1-1.5 miles in 30-45 minutes.
On Wednesdays a slighter more difficult 45-50 minute walk takes place from Frome Medical Centre starting at 9.30am.
Then on Fridays, walks generally ranging from three to five miles set off from different places around the area. All walks on a Friday start at 10.30am.
The next walk is this Friday, 2nd February. Join Peter for a 5 mile walk to Stourhead and back. Meet in King Alfred’s Tower car park, near Bruton.
On Friday 9th February, join Terry for a 3.75 mile walk on footpaths, forest tracks and estate roads. Meet at East Woodlands near Frome, park in the vicinity of the Horse & Groom Pub (BA11 5LY).
On Friday 16th February, meet in Bradford on Avon in the Kennet & Avon Canal Trust car park (BA15 1BX) for a 3-mile walk. The walk is described as easy, level walking on quiet roads, paths and tow path.
