Chris Wilkinson at Frome Town United Football Club (FTUFC) has been named as the Somerset FA Youth Club Secretary of the year.
“This is a fantastic achievement; we are proud of Chris’s achievement and his hard work and organisation skills has well and truly been recognised,” said a spokesperson for the club.
On Saturday 5th November, FTUFC Under 9s walked out as Mascots with Frome Town FC and on Sunday, FTU U10s Hawks walked out with Frome Town Ladies. Last weekend all clubs observed the Silent Support Weekend, to encourage all spectators and coaches to show their support during the match through applause only.
This gives players a chance to find their own voice and develop their game. FTU U13 girls continue to flourish in their first season, with a fantastic away win to Allstarz in Swindon and by winning 5–4, sees them leapfrog Allstarz into 3rd place in the league.
