THE stunning Deborah Rose is coming to Groove Tots Gigs on Sunday 15th October at the Rye Bakery in Whittox Lane, Frome.
With an angelic voice, gorgeous lyrics and poems from a pre-Raphaelite Frome resident this is one not to miss. Bring the family, enjoy high quality music for adults, grab a delicious coffee and cake, and get in the groove.
Deborah Rose is a singer-songwriter from Wales and has sung in the company of Ralph McTell, Judy Collins, Fairport Convention and Jimmy Webb. She has performed on Terry Wogan’s Radio 2 for the 50th anniversary of the late singer, Eva Cassidy. Her first album, “Song Be My Soul” is a collection of words set to music from Tennyson to Blake and features a Welsh Male Voice Choir.
Deborah has a rare and timeless voice with a purity often likened to Sandy Denny or Joni Mitchell. She performs a wide range of Celtic music, clas-sics, and her own self penned songs that chronicle her travels, love of nature, and journeys of the soul. For this special occasion Deborah will also read a collection of children’s poems by the Pre-Raphaelite writer Christina Rossetti who once lived and ran a girls’ school in Frome in 1853.
The event takes place on Sunday 15th October at 10.00am. This is very much a family gig so its perfect for a family Sunday morning with the addition of excellent food, tea and coffee from the Rye Bakery.
Tickets are priced at £5/adult, £1/child, £8/family and will be available on the door or you can book tickets online and even reserve a table https://billetto.co.uk/e/groove -tots-gigs-featuring-deborah-rose-tickets-213936 and for more on Deborah Rose go to http://www.deborahrose.co.uk/
