Frome Mayor, Peter MacFadyen has just signed up to join Frome Community Lottery and is urging other people to do the same.
Interestingly Peter was one of the original trustees, when the lottery was set up in 2000.
“We’re urging you to sign up now and do your bit to help our local community,” said Sue Worringham, chair of Frome Community Lottery. “It’s really easy. Just pick up a leaflet from the library and other places around town and for as little as £1 a week, you can be in with a chance of winning up to £25,000.
“50% of the proceeds come to the Trustees of Frome Community Lottery, who then distribute it to local organisations. We have handed out grants to over 75 local organisations, BUT we could do a lot more, with more lottery players.”
