The Rotary Club of Frome are running for the second time this year a charity shop on the Westway Shopping Precinct in Frome.
The shop will be open between 30th November to 4th January, 9.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Saturday.
It will be run by Rotary Club members and ladies from the Frome Inner Wheel. Monies raised will be for local good causes and the Rotary Club charity account, and replacing money that has recently been given to World Waterworks Ltd run by the Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge.
Recently 600 water survival boxes were sent to the Philippines by the Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge, who in the past have helped disasters Haiti, Chile and Pakistan. Earlier this year the Rotary Club of Frome and Frome Inner Wheel raised a total of £4,500 in their charity shop; with the wonderful support that Frome shoppers give, they look forward to another bumper few weeks in the shop.
The Big Christmas Challenge is an annual matching funding event in which on-line donations from the public including the Rotary Club of Frome will be matched. For further details on water survival boxes contact: www.worldwaterworks.org
