Frome Community Bike Project is having a clear-out sale and are inviting people to join them at their workshop at Station Approach on Saturday 21st September, between 10am and 4pm.
They will be clearing out their containers and selling everything, from parts and accessories to clothing and bikes. They will also have a selection of bikes that are finished and ready to ride away, along with frames and wheels for anyone looking for a project.
Director Emma Parker said, “We regularly receive donations of bikes and accessories we have so many that we’re running out of space! Come and have a rummage, find a bargain or a rare part, chat with our volunteers about what we do and even find out about getting involved. We offer a range of activities to support everyone to get out and about by bike, including cycle training, bike rides, e-bike loans, bike repairs and servicing.
“Our workshop is at Station Approach, Frome BA11 1RE. Find us around the back, behind City Plumbing and next to Frome Reclamation. We’re currently open Wednesday to Friday 10am to 4pm and Saturday mornings from 10am to 1pm however, on Saturday 21st we’ll be open from 10am till 4pm and we’ll be emptying out our containers so do come and take a look!
“We’ll also be at the Frome Lions Ride Kids Ride event at the Old Showfield on Sunday 22nd September. Children ride their bike, scooter, or skateboard around the track as many times as they can. We’ll be there offering free bike safety checks with Dr Bike and free pedal powered smoothies for those who still have the energy to make the pedal powered blender work!”
