Frome Ukulele Club (The Frukes) are performing another concert for local charities at 8.00pm on Saturday 30th April at Rook Lane Chapel.
Entitled ‘The BIG Spring Shindig’, The Frukes welcome support from Dexter’s Extra Breakfast, and with £1,000 raised last year for the Frome Gateway Club, even more is expected for this year’s groups – Frome’s Missing Link and Routes Café.
Fruke’s Chairman Richard Ackroyd said, “Frome’s Missing Link is dear to many Fruke’s hearts as we look to complete the cycle path from Welshmill out to the National Cyclepath at Great Elm. Also, Routes Café offers support and advice to young people in Frome, something which the whole club is keen to support.”
Tickets are just £8 (£5 concessions) or £20 for a family ticket and can be purchased from The River House Café, Routes Café or any passing Fruke!
Richard added, “Last year’s gig at The Silk Mill was, literally, standing room only, so buying in advance is strongly recommended. The Rook Lane bar will be open, there is a raffle, and plenty of ‘springy stuff’ – doors open at 8.00pm. It will be a great evening.”
