Each Frome Mayor selects community groups to support during their year and this year’s Mayor – Peter Macfadyen – chose the POD Youth club; Edventure: Frome and Fair Frome.
As well as engaging with the groups and supporting their work, he’s been raising funds. The culmination of this will be an evening of music, food, dance and entertainment on Friday 17th April to raise money.
Cllr Macfadyen said, “I’m working hard with a team from all the charities to put together something really special to end my term as Mayor. Among other things we’ll be encouraging dressing up – with all the town’s charity shops involved in some way. Please put the date in your diary!”.
Tickets will be available from the Cheese and Grain – a service they are offering free for the event – and if musicians or entertainers want to get in on the act they should contact Peter or Rebecca at the town council as soon as possible.
