FROME business The Wig Sanctuary has presented a cheque for £7,405.42 to Dorothy House Hospice.
The cash was raised by Cassie King, wig consultant, who waived consultation fees at The Wig Sanctuary. Cassie would like to extend a big thank you to all who’ve kindly contributed, and said, “In the Uk alone, 60% of women and 40% of men suffer from some form of hair loss and it can be devastating, but help is at hand!
“My hairdressing background enables me to, when necessary, personalise the wigs so the clients look like themselves and feel confident in wearing their ‘new hair.’
“I chose Dorothy House as my charity, after witnessing how utterly wonderful they were in supporting a friend and her family.”
Steph Cox from Dorothy House Hospice said, “This gift means a great deal to the patients and their families we look after every year who benefit from nursing, counselling, complementary therapies, group activities and more.”
The hospice offers a free and relaxed drop-in service for anyone affected personally or indirectly by a life-limiting diagnosis.
