The Frome Women’s Shed is gearing up for the 2019 Cheese Show.
The group report, “The Shed’s stall in the Rural Crafts Tent will display textiles and woodwork of a high calibre, mostly made from donated materials or offcuts which would otherwise have been thrown away.
“Textiles on sale include fabulous dogcoats and various other cleverly hand-sewn and woven items.
“The highlight of the Shed’s woodwork is a full size wooden rocking horse. It won’t be quite finished, but there’ll be one we’ve made earlier to give you an idea of how it will be when completed. The Shed is hoping to find an eager buyer for the Rocking Horse, as that will help Shed funds.
“As a charity, the Men’s and Women’s Sheds in Frome provide a community workspace, where people can make, mend, and, create, and make social contacts in a supportive environment.
“The Women Shedders meet on Monday mornings, and the Men Shedders on Thursdays, at the Welshmill Hub, Park Hill Drive, Frome. See the website at Frome men’s shed.org.uk for more information.”
