An exhibition of collage is due to be on display at the Crown Inn, Keyford, this month.
The exhibition will showcase the works of two artists, Martin Ellacot and Jessica Wilker, who met at a collage workshop run by Frome Community Education.
Organisers say, “Martin signed up for a collage workshop run by Frome Community Education with the tutor Jessica. He had worked with collage before and wanted to practise his skills.
“Jessica was delighted to meet a fellow collagist, especially as they are few and far between, a consequence of the art world placing collage into a niche position. Over the course of more workshops, it became obvious that the two shared a passion for this challenging and engaging medium, both revelling in its stylistic versatility and huge potential for transformation. Now their works hang side by side in their joint exhibition, showcasing the wonderful world of collage and the way it can delight, amuse and provoke.”
The exhibition runs from 13th to 21st September, from 12pm to 5pm, at the ‘Above Gallery’ in the Crown Inn, Keyford. The artists will be present on both weekends.
