TICKETS for The Woodlanders’ 39th Music Hall show are now on sale.
The charity fundraiser will run from Monday 10th to Saturday 15th October. Tickets for the two-hour show are just £10.
The Woodlanders put on an annual Music Hall show every autumn, using local amateur talent, in the Village Hall in East Woodlands to raise money for local charities. To date they have raised over £180,000.
The money raised by The Woodlanders is used to support local charities and in 2016 alone donations of £3,500 were made to: East Woodlands Village Hall (car park improvement), Frome Community College (Radio project in collaboration with Frome FM), The Memorial Theatre Boiler Appeal, Life Education Wessex, St Katherine’s Church and Frome Community Transport.
Woodlanders’ chairperson, Sandra Gaisford, said, “Why change a winning formula? The Woodlanders have staged a variety show along similar lines for the past 39 years and our audiences seem to love it. The show is topical and up to date while having its roots in Old Time Music Hall and Variety Theatre. There is something for everyone, music, songs, comic sketches and dancing, but most of all, fun!”
