TICKETS for Frome Musical Theatre Company’s next musical hit, Sister Act, are now on sale and are expected to sell quickly.
Sister Act will come to the Memorial Theatre from Tuesday 10th to Saturday 14th May, with evening performances at 7.30pm plus a matinee on Saturday 14th May at 2.30pm.
Sister Act tells the hilarious story of Deloris Van Cartier, a disco diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder. Under protective custody she is hidden in the one place she won’t be found – a convent.
Cleverly disguised as a nun and under the suspicious watch of the Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she rediscovers her own. This musical is a sparkling tribute to the all- embracing power of friendship, sisterhood and music. It features fabulous dance routines and sensational songs inspired by motown, soul and disco and based on the smash hit 1992 film starring Whoopi Goldberg.
The principal line up is as follows; Deloris Van Cartier – Dora Bishop, Mother Superior – Joanne Plenty, Sister Mary Robert – Nicole Wooldridge, Sister Mary Patrick – Tabitha Cox, Sister Mary Lazarus – Lisa Kendall, Monsignor O’Hara – Norm Langley, Curtis – Jon O’Loughlin, Eddie – Ryan Hughes, TJ – Oli Wareham, Joey – Kevin Withers, Pablo – Scott Ward.
