WITH the new season fast approaching, Frome Town FC have three pre-season friendlies planned including a high profile clash with League Two Yeovil Town on Saturday.
The Yeovil game is a charity match at home to support the Jamie Mines Appeal, kick off 3pm. Entry is £7.50, £5 concessions. Under 16s go free.
On Tuesday 1st August, Frome visit Paulton Rovers and the Robins’ final home friendly will see them entertain Bristol Manor Farm on Friday 4th August at 7.45pm, before the season kicks off officially on August 12th.
The Robins finished in 8th place last season, with 74 points, their highest position and points ever, meaning confidence is high heading into the new season.
In addition to retaining the majority of last season’s squad, they also welcome three new players to the club for the forthcoming season. Midfielder Chas Hemmings has signed from Bath City FC, defender Ben Withey from Mangotsfield United and midfielder Joe Raynes from Larkhall. They also welcome Ollie Price to the coaching staff.
