Frome Town progressed in the Somerset Premier Cup after an assured away win against Cheddar.
Frome started brightly and were dominating possession, but trying hard to make openings. The breakthrough came on 24 mins as Sam Teale rose high to head home from a Ollie Knowles corner. Then on 27 mins, Kris Scott hit the post with a great effort and Knowles was on hand to score the follow-up from the edge of the box. Cheddar pulled a goal back 5 mins before halftime.
The second half saw TJ Davis and Josh Brace come on at half time for Kris Scott and Joe O’Loughlin. With Kane Simpson on for Kris Miller on 65 mins. In the 82nd minute Simpson put in the third after fine play from Laurent Davis-Wilson. Final score was 3-1 and Frome progress into the quarter-finals of the Somerset Premier cup.
