FROME’S Edventure 13 start-up team are creating a community plant nursery at the Walled Garden, and are looking for your help this October
Organisers say, “The main projects that need doing are organising the polytunnels ready for future planting, improving the composting system, and general odd-jobs around the garden including potting and planting.
“If you would like to spend more time in nature, and want to be one of the many hands helping a meaningful project lift off the ground, then come along on one of the following dates: Tuesday 15th 10-2.30pm, Tuesday 22nd 10-2.30pm, Tuesday 29th 10-2.30pm.
“No experience or skills are required, and volunteers will have the opportunity to learn basic gardening, as well as socialise with like-minded people. And not to mention, free hot drinks and cake!
“The plant nursery will be a community hub, bringing people together in a peaceful and serene setting, where people can learn together about gardening and be inspired by nature.
“The Walled Garden at Mells can be found at 5 Rectory Cottages, Selwood St, Mells, Frome BA11 3PN.
“The 184 bus from Frome Market Place stops just up the road from the gardens, or if you’re travelling by car, we encourage ride shares. If transport is an issue, get in touch!”
