It’s that crazy time of year again when We Hear You launch their mega fundraising month, Mad March.
People across the local community throw tea parties, dress up, run half marathons, jump out of planes and anything else they can think of to help raise money for their local cancer charity.
One of the biggest and most popular parts of the month is the online auction which goes live online on March 13th and runs for one week only. The prizes this year will appeal to everyone and every budget.
There are pamper items such as massages, facials and haircuts. A wide selection of days out including At Bristol or Wookey Hole and everything from gym membership to meals out. You could even grab yourself a luxury prize such as a Mulberry purse. We Hear You have been donated a variety of pieces of artwork form artists who are involved in The Good Gallery and for the more daring of you there is even a skydive.
Gemma Wilkes Fundraising and Communications Manager at We Hear You said, “We’re really looking forward to our auction this year and have been overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses. There are simply too many to thank individually but we are extremely grateful for their support.
“There is a great variety of prizes to cater for every taste. The auction is a vital part of our annual Mad March Campaign, from which we hope to fund 700 sessions of life changing support for children and adults affected by a wide range of life threatening conditions. Taking part in our auction is an easy way to get involved with our campaign. Happy Bidding!”
It’s really easy to get involved. You can view and bid online via www.32auctions.com/madmarch17 and bids will close on 20th March at 8pm. If you would like to get involved with our Mad March Campaign please get in touch by emailing Gemma at fundraising@wehearyou.org.uk
We Hear You provide free professional counselling for anyone affected by cancer or another life threatening condition. Each session comes at a cost of £44 and it costs almost £4000 a week to provide the service. WHY receives no government or NHS funding which is why this campaign is so important.
