FROME Memorial Theatre is taking part in a live stream event to help raise money for theatres in the UK and USA.
GO NOW! were due to perform the music of The Moody Blues this year at Frome Memorial Theatre, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the show has been rescheduled for 2021.
Instead, the band will be live streaming a very special performance on Saturday 17th October at 8pm, raising money for 60 theatres across the country, including Frome Memorial Theatre.
To book your ticket to watch the show from the comfort of your own living room, visit: https://gonowmusic.com/go-now-live-stream-concert-event/
When booking your ticket, make sure to select ‘Frome Memorial Theatre’ from the list of venues taking part – one-third of all profits from the ticket purchase will then go to the Frome Memorial Theatre.
Gordy Marshall a veteran of West End musicals, and drummer with The Moody Blues for 25 years, has joined with fellow musicians whose credits include Hamilton, We Will Rock You, Mamma Mia, The Book of Mormon and many others, to create the “stunning” live stream show with their band GO NOW!
The band, which boasts Mick Wilson (known from 10cc) as the lead singer, have sold hundreds of tickets, with the initial £6,000 production costs already being recouped. And Gordy Marshall says they are now selling more and more tickets every day and generating profit.
“This is completely different to what you would imagine a live stream to be,” said Gordy. “We are not just creating high quality new content for the sake of it, we have managed to scale up the whole production and create a revenue generating show, being advertised by sixty theatres. Twenty here in the UK and forty in the USA.”
