LOCAL charity, We Hear You, wants to remind everyone that they’re still running their full counselling service, with all sessions currently delivered via phone or Zoom.
The charity report,s “If you or anyone you know is finding it difficult to cope with the emotional impact of a life-threatening condition, including Covid-19, call us on 01373 455255 or email info@wehearyou.org.uk.
“The third instalment of our very successful mindfulness-based cognitive therapy course, WHYbemindful, started on 23rd January via Zoom for eight weeks. Facilitated by Chris Barker, the course supports people coping with a life-threatening condition and those who are close to them to access the benefits of mindfulness for emotional wellbeing.
“Our Covid-19 crisis support service is on hand to provide a safe space for people impacted or bereaved by Covid-19. It’s not a course of counselling, although it is delivered by WHY counsellors: it provides a timely opportunity for up to four supportive conversations with an expert listener.
“We’re also delighted to announce the relaunch of The Coffee Connection, our drop-in social group for people affected by cancer and life-limiting illness, co-hosted with Dorothy House Hospice Care. This virtual version of the group runs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10am and Thursdays at 1pm. No need to book – just contact us for a link to join.
“More information about the support we offer alongside our core counselling service is at www.wehearyou.org.uk/other-services/. The means of referral for all WHY services is the same – give us a call on 01373 455255 or email info@wehearyou.org.uk
