A winter community fair will take place at the Cheese and Grain next month, featuring stalls, family activities and a Santa’s grotto.
Organised by Fair Frome in partnership with the Cheese and Grain, the event will run on Saturday 1st November from 10am to 2pm, with free entry.
Fair Frome is currently still seeking stall holders and are encouraging people to contact them using the details below.
The fair will feature a wide range of stalls run by charities and community groups, giving them the chance to fundraise, connect with the public and raise awareness of their work. Groups wanting to book a stall are encouraged to contact the senior coordinator for Fair Frome, Lenka Grimes.
Lenka said, “It’s a chance to come along, get in the Christmas spirit and get your Christmas shopping done early, whilst knowing you are supporting local causes. The Cheese and Grain is a wonderful community-accessible venue for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs, so it makes the whole shopping experience a lot easier.”
Alongside the stalls, there will be children’s activities, including face painting and a Santa’s grotto with elves, for just £2 per child.
Fair Frome is an independent charity delivering hands-on projects to alleviate the effects of poverty locally, including the Food Bank, Community Pantry, Food at 5 community meals, Furniture Bank, Holiday Lunches and Baby Basics bank.
