International professional wrestling returns to Frome with a ‘Smack-Down’ in May as the Cheese and Grain hosts the biggest wrestling event to date, with former WWE superstar and reigning Big League World Champion MVP coming to town!
‘Saturday Night Slam’ will host five high-flying, bone-crunching, action-packed bouts of family entertainment, featuring 14 top stars from the over the top world of wrestling. CSF Wrestling is now in their 19th year of hosting live events and after holding hundreds of bouts here, this is the biggest they have ever brought to Frome.
The feature presentation of the afternoon will see the former WWE United States and World Tag Team Champion: Montel Vontavious Porter, better known as MVP, defend his Big League World Heavyweight Championship against the UK’s top Heavyweight Big Grizzly. MVP has defended his title all around the world and has appeared at headline events WrestleMainia, SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble.
On Saturday 12th May he returns to CSF as reigning BLW Champion and will put the title on the line. Other names appearing include the ever popular ‘English Lion’ Eddie Ryan, returning from injury Charlie Sterling, James Castle, Lomaxx, Kian Kelly, Bane & Bronson and the brand new team of Olly Lloyd and Dan Splash.
Frome is one of the most popular stops on the wrestling calendar, with hundreds of fans of all ages attending each event CSF hold in this area. British professional wrestling is still enjoying a huge boom in popularity, with WWE now holding many UK events.
For 12 years the Cheese and Grain has hosted CSF Wrestling, but this next event in May will be the biggest yet. early booking is advised as all events sell out.
