Nurses from Frome Medical Practice attended Frome College to talk to year 13 about the Young Person’s Clinic, on Wednesday 11th April.
This clinic is held at Frome Medical Practice every Wednesday from 3.00-5.00pm. It’s a free and confidential drop- in service for all young people aged 19, for concerns such as sexual health, contraception, health and wellbeing, stopping smoking, and much more.
The main focus at the college assembly was talking about chlamydia. One in 12 young people are infected with chlamydia, and it is symptomless. Frome Medical Practice can provide testing at the Young Person’s Clinic, and also have self-kits which can be taken home. These are located in bins around the practice, and can also be sent home in the post.
For further information, please feel free to contact the surgery on 01373 301300. Alternatively, attend the Young Person’s Clinic, where one of the nurses will be more than happy to answer any questions.
