The first group of Selwood Academy year 8 students have undertaken a CPR/defibrillator training session at the start of the new spring term.
Eleven weekly sessions are being organised by the Friends of Frome Hospital (FoFH), in co-operation with specialist educational health training specialists Creative Aquatics, led by their training team, Sam Read and Jess Williams. It is anticipated that 300 Selwood students will have undertaken the training course by Easter.
The FoFH initiative was first given to Oakfield Academy last autumn term and was well received by both staff and students.
