AS part of their 50-year anniversary tour, the English folk singer-songwriter duo, John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett, roll into town on Saturday 6th April.
“You’re guaranteed an amazing and irreverent performance from two master entertainers celebrating “Half A Sentry” together as they jump from their only ‘Hit and 40 Near Misses’ to the next,” says a spokesperson for the Merlin.
“The contrast between Barrett’s deadpan humour and Otway’s outrageous onstage presence has to be seen to be believed. John’s lyrical genius and Willy’s astounding musicianship (he seems to play almost every stringed instrument known to man, plus a few hybrids of his own making) are the core of the show and no two performances are ever the same.
“Their first single, Murder Man, was a resounding flop and they’ve been at it and each other ever since! This may be the last chance to catch the mismatched dynamic duo and their magnificent mix of music and mayhem. How many antics, how much hilarity and excitement can you take?”
The show will start at 7.30pm; to buy tickets, visit the TicketSource website https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on/frome/the-merlin-theatre/john-otway-wild-willy-barrett/e-xgevyz
