A GROUP of year 8 pupils from Oakfield Academy were invited to a ‘Futures’ day by the University of Bath as part of the universities ‘Widening Participation Scheme’ to inspire young people to go into further education.
Pupils were given a tour of the campus and sporting facilities as well as taking part in numerous workshops and activities to get them thinking about their futures and the different paths they might want to take once leaving school.
Staff at the university remarked on the excellent behaviour of the pupils and we were all impressed with the way they contributed to the activities and discussions.
