Frome Royal British Legion needs your help with the Poppy Appeal

POPPY Appeal organisers are asking for volunteers to help the charity raise as much money as possible this year, during the Remembrance period. 

Richard Fry says, “Volunteers will set up tables inside at Asda, Lidl and Sainsbury’s from Saturday 30th October to Saturday 13th November 9am to 6pm, however the RNA cover Sainsbury’s from 4pm to 6pm. The group has in the past asked for people to man a table for a two-hour shift along with another person, however due to a severe shortage this year it looks like they are going to struggle even to just get one person at a time. It is very easy, all the helpers have to do is sit or stand and greet people, advise them how much it is per item and either get them to put their money in the collection tin, or use a card reader.
