COMING up at the Merlin theatre this month is a mixture of professional and local amateur shows – all showcasing a wealth of talent!
Brand new Chuckl. Comedy Club is up for a total laugh starting on Saturday 19th March with a fantastic selection of comedians. This is the opening night of Chuckl.’s new, regular stand-up comedy event and features Tony Law with the brilliantly funny Laura Lexx headlining what promises to be a side-splitting night out
Whilst professional shows are thoroughly enjoyed in the town, the community use of this popular venue is vital to its well-deserved place in the hearts of locals, never more so than when audiences are able to see two great shows only one week apart!
Take a couple of hours out for a lively and music-packed show staring local school pupils and, quite possibly, stars of the future as Selwood Academy students perform their production of much-loved musical theatre classic, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, from 24th-26th March.
Further local talent can be enjoyed for 3 nights from 31st March to 2nd April as the highly experienced and creative team from Frome Drama, the town’s longest-running amateur theatre club, stage their sumptuous, revenge-packed production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
