A MEETING will be held in Frome to discuss the possibility of setting up a support group for parents and carers of children with ADHD.
Jenny Hartnoll from NHS Somerset said, “Come and let us know if you are interested in the idea of a new group being set up in Frome to support the parents and carers of children with ADHD.
“Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is the most common behavioural disorder in the UK. It’s unknown exactly how many people have the condition, but most estimates suggest it affects around 2-5% of school-aged children and young people.
“If you are a parent, carer, family member or friend of someone with ADHD come along and join us at this informal meet up and chat, to support one another. Adults with ADHD are also welcome.”
The meeting will take place on Wednesday 18th November, from 10.30am to 12pm at the Asda training room, situated at the rear of the store by the colleague entrance, Warminster Road, Frome, BA11 5LA, and then on the third Wednesday of every month if the new group decides they want a regular group.
