Frome Rotary’s new president for 2019/20, Margaret Gilmour, took over from Norman Elmer on 1st July.
The club reports, “She was adorned with the traditional elephant dung hat presented to all Frome presidents (and promptly stored in their attic to pass on to the next victim).”
Margaret said, “i am pleased to take up the baton in this important role. Frome Rotary Club has been in existence for nearly 95 years and has always been active in helping deserving causes in and around Frome, as well as reacting to international disasters.
“Our latest venture is to open a larger Rotary charity shop in the town centre where Argos used to be. We are also proud to have three clubs in the town now and we all work closely together on many projects.”
