Keen gardeners are invited to an annual plant sale run by the Frome Selwood Horticultural Society and Frome in Bloom on Saturday 24th May.
Running from 9.30am until 12pm at Selwood Academy, the event will enable people to browse tables full of annuals, perennials and vegetables. There will also be plenty of home-made produce with cakes and jams galore.
Garden books and bric-a-brac from the garage will also be available, with cash preferred as payment.
Organiser Jane Norris said, “Frome is well served for gardening interest groups and this annual event is a showcase for two of the oldest and most established groups: the Frome Selwood Horticultural Society, founded in 1966, and Frome in Bloom, founded in 1977 with its annual awards for planting in homes, businesses and open spaces.
“To all plant lovers, come and join in the morning and capture what has kept these two gardening groups growing and don’t forget to bring your own bags and cash as our preferred payment, please. There is good parking and a small entry donation.”
