Another convincing win from Frome after Chard struggled to contain Frome’s opening batsmen.
Lett (110) achieved a magnificent century during a 127 partnership with P Sanger (44), which gave the showmen an outstanding start against league leaders Chard. S Croker (57) continued the momentum throughout the remaining overs, supported by Unwin (16). This left Frome in a strong position on 260 runs at the interval.
R Croker (3-39) and Barton (2-35) gained two early wickets each, leaving Chard on the backfoot with only 32 runs. Chard were never really in the game, with Frome gaining regular wickets from: M Sanger (2-16), Watts (1-22), Harman (1-54) and Lett (1-17). It was R Croker’s second spell which confirmed the win, putting Frome top of league. Frome travel away to Street next Saturday (12.30pm).
