The 2017 Frome Beer Festival will be even bigger and better than last year’s, organisers say, with more choices of beer and more tickets on sale.
After last year’s success there was great demand for another festival this year and, in response, the Cheese and Grain will be hosting more than 40 choices of beer plus ten different ciders at the festival on March 17th and 18th.
Many local brewers will feature, as well as popular beers from all over the UK from Scotland to Cornwall. Some local brewers will be creating beers especially for the event, which won’t be available elsewhere. There will be something for all tastes, from fragrant, fruity light ales, to high gravity dark porters.
The two organisers, Mac Macarthur and Will George, were encouraged by the number of people asking for another festival.
Mac said, “Last year was a wonderful success, especially considering it was the first in Frome for many years. The atmosphere was great; really friendly and welcoming.”
Will added that the choice of local beers was unmatched, and showed the quality of local brewers.
The top choices last year, voted for by the discerning Frome drinkers, will be available again, together with new experiences for the palate.
There will be three sessions: Friday evening, Saturday lunchtime and Saturday evening, and entrance is by advance ticket only.
Six Nations Rugby can be viewed in the café area throughout the day on Saturday, and there will be music at the Friday and Saturday evening sessions.
Tickets are £10 each and this includes entry, a souvenir glass, a programme with tasting notes, and two free beer vouchers. They are available from the Cheese and Grain box office on 01373 455420 or www.cheeseandgrain.com. Details of the beers and ciders available will be posted on the festival website closer to the time at www.fromebeerfest.co.uk
